HISTORY

Wearing aqua-blue pedal pushers and matching blouse from Jax, this playful image shot in September 1954 depicts a lighthearted Marilyn. During their session in Milton's New York studio, champagne and caviar relaxed the subject and yielded extraordinary pictures using such minimal props as this one, a simple wicker chair. Though images from the sitting appear in Milton's Marilyn, this newly restored image has never been exhibited or published.
