Marilyn Monroe in White Fur - WF-2Learn More About This Great Item....The Archives collectible prints, books, and calendars are not available from any other source. BENEFITSBring to life your empty walls and create stimulating conversation by bringing home a print from the collection of legendary photographer, Milton H. Greene. Perfect gift for that classic movie enthusiast, Marilyn Monroe fanatic, or art collector. Authenticated by the photographer's son and apprentice, Joshua Greene. HISTORYThis portrait was created while Marilyn was living with the Greene family in New York. It was taken at the end of a year spent in self-imposed exile from her public and exemplifies Marilyn's expression of new-found freedom and self validation. Photographed in Milton's studio with Marilyn wrapped in white fur, Milton and Marilyn made time for the historic sitting on an evening in March 1955. Afterward, the two shareholders left for a private cocktail party in New York City where they announced and celebrated the formation of Marilyn Monroe Productions (MMP). [At the party, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn posed together for a brief, rare moment, and Milton captured the two divas together on film.] A sister image from the "White Fur" sitting illustrates the back cover of the Milton's Marilyn re-released edition. FEATURESAll printing is done in house with the Hewlett Packard Designjet Z3200 printer with 12-pigmented inks. These prints are available on Innova Arts 315 GSM Smooth Cotton High White Paper.
