Marilyn Monroe Peasant Series - P-53Learn More About This Great Item....The Archives collectible prints, books, and calendars are not available from any other source. BENEFITSBring to life your empty walls and create stimulating conversation by bringing home a print from the collection of legendary photographer, Milton H. Greene. Perfect gift for that classic movie enthusiast, Marilyn Monroe fanatic, or art collector. Authenticated by the photographer's son and apprentice, Joshua Greene. HISTORYPublished for the first time in Milton's Marilyn, this image comes from the appropriately titled "Peasant" series - one of our favorites - taken on the same French village set used to film What Price Glory. Milton, inspired by the novel, The Brothers Karamazov (for which he'd optioned the film rights), wanted to convince Marilyn of her potential as a dramatic actress and to prove his point, he photographed her in this costume, worn by Jennifer Jones for her Oscar-winning performance in The Song of Bernadette. Though several images in this series confirm Marilyn's dramatic side, here she is caught enjoying a lighter persona. FEATURESAll printing is done in house with the Hewlett Packard Designjet Z3200 printer with 12-pigmented inks. These prints are scientifically rated to last 200 years!
