HISTORYThe appropriately entitled "Red" sitting produced this memorable image. It displays the playful eroticism apparent in all of Milton and Marilyn's work together. Photographed for Life magazine in January 1957, its focus a simple red dress, this session would be their last. Milton used a twin lens Rolliflex with a 2.8 planar lens and early Kodak E-3 Ektachrome color positive film. No longer printable photographically, the original film has been drum-scanned. After 40 hours of restoration at The Archives, this image has been brought back to life. The final restoration is archivally printed with a scientifically rated life span of 200 years. Phenomenal!
