HISTORY

The mystery of Marilyn Monroe comes through even when she's not looking at you. The Ballerina Series contains some the most popular images available of Marilyn Monroe. This image was taken in 1954 at MiltonÕs New York City studio. Clothing designer, Ann Klein, sent various outfits to MiltonÕs studio for Marilyn to wear, however all the outfits were 2 sizes too small. All of the poses in this sitting amusingly deal with MarilynÕs problem of holding up the ill-fitting toule and satin dress.
