This unpublished photograph was from Milton and Judy's first sitting together. It sparked a long and loyal friendship, which continued throughout her life. This portrait depicts Garland as the "hobo," one of her most adored characters which became synonymous with her act, whether it was from the Palace Theater, Carnegie Hall or her TV show. She performed Hobo duets with many fellow Hobos: Sid Caesar, Milton Berle, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. to name a few.
