One of the first photographers to shoot fashion on location, Milton went to Ireland to photograph a new rising designer by the name of Sybil Connelly in 1953. Sybil’s house model was Ann Gunning, who was a natural. The camera adored her and she always fell into the right position. Her oval face, wide shoulders, tiny waist, height and her sense of fun while getting dressed up and posing. She always gave a thousand percent to any situation. She was never rushed and she took everything in stride. This introduction launched both Sybil and Ann’s careers worldwide and Ann went on to be photographed by the greatest photographers of the day. Ann knocks at the door while someone peers through the drawn sheer curtains in the window.
