HISTORY

Milton Greene and Marilyn Monroe created Marilyn Monroe Productions, and produced the movie “Bus Stop” (followed by Prince and the Showgirl), the film many believe to be her finest acting. Milton took this rare candid on a clear day in Tahoe in 1956. Portraits of an Era, a Limited Edition collection of newly restored images was introduced in 2000 and included this image. There is snow on the hills behind Marilyn as she bundles up in her brown fur coat on the cold crisp day.
