Anniversary Edition

Lovingly restored in honor of the 50th anniversary of Marilyn's untimely demise.
It was Milton’s unique personal friendship and business relationship with Marilyn Monroe that allowed the extraordinary photographs, recording her moods, beauty, talent and spirit, for which they are widely remembered. The Monroe collection contains more than 5,000 images, many never before seen photographs of the screen legend. Milton and Marilyn partnered to create “Marilyn Monroe Productions”, which produced the films, “Bus Stop” & “Prince and the Showgirl” and the largest body of stills over a 4 year period.

The Archives, LLC is dedicated to the restoration of photography and is committed to preserving the works of not only Milton Greene, but other photographic collections as well. Due to the ravages of time, the original transparencies and/or the negatives of the Monroe collection have oxidized and faded. These images have been digitally re-mastered on Macintosh computers by The Archives team. Joshua printed for his father when he was a teenager; Joshua, with his father’s eye in mind, does the value & tones corrections in these restored works.

We hope you enjoy our new addition to the Greene & Monroe family of limited editions.
